The Property Industry Foundation
The Property Industry Foundation (PIF) was established in 1966, by leaders of industry, to provide charitable organisations working with young people at risk, with funds, materials, resources and man-power. It has grown to become the prominent charity within the property industry.
Kennards Hire House, a new residential facility for teenagers who are homeless through no fault of their own, has been opened by NSW Minister for Family and Community Services Pru Goward. It is the second project completed by the community-based charity, Stepping Stone House, and results from funding provided by Kennards Hire and the Kennard family, and labour donated by building company Total Construction. Several sub-contractors and building materials.
BGC Partners (Australia) Pty Ltd
Stepping Stone House thanks BGC Partners (Australia) Pty Ltd for their continued support and incredible generosity. BGC nominated SSH as one of the chosen charities to benefit from the company’s September 11 initiative in both 2008 and 2009. The charity day held each year commemorates the events in New York on September 11, 2001, and all trading profits generated on this day each year are given to charity.
The Big Brother Movement (BBM Ltd)
The Big Brother Movement (BBM Ltd) was a vital friend for Stepping Stone when it started in 1989. The group of supporters had said that they did not want to be involved in the purchase of real estate. They wanted their contributions to go direct to help the young homeless residents.
