Jason Juretic – CEO
Jason is a senior business executive with a strong background in corporate and for-purpose leadership.
He is a passionate advocate for supporting homeless and at risk youth, and a regular contributor to The CEO Magazine and Open Forum about strategies for reducing youth homelessness and the importance of corporate social responsibility.
Jason is currently Chair of Homestretch.
Shana Lewis – Residential Services Manager
Shana Lewis manages the accommodation and personal development for homeless and disadvantaged young people.
Shana started her career providing residential services in the Disability sector before moving across to the Youth sector for the last 5 years.
Shana graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology from Macquarie University, and has incorporated her knowledge of therapeutic care into the design and provision of Stepping Stone House’s residential services, which deliver higher than sector standard outcomes for vulnerable and at-risk young people experiencing homelessness.
Diane Crawford – Program Manager
With over 11 years experience in therapeutic care, Diane came to Stepping Stone House from Scotland where she spent 5 years working in a similar residential care setting.
Diane began her Stepping Stone House journey as a youth worker, and now applies her comprehensive understanding of the needs of the youth to project design and implementation.
As a key member of the Sleep Under the Stars committee, Diane is dedicated to giving vulnerable young people the support they require to achieve a brighter future for themselves.
Jessica Mienhert – Fundraising Manager
With 12 years fundraising and marketing experience, Jessica came to Stepping Stone House from Vinnies NSW where she spearheaded the Vinnies CEO Sleepout. Prior to this, her employment experiences in the tourism sector took her all over the world, working to build interest in Australia as a destination for business and luxury tourism. Jessica is a dedicated mother, volunteer, and passionate advocate for youth rights and positive futures.
Jessica is motivated to increase the income of Stepping Stone House during this critical growth phase, so that more young people can have a chance at independent and successful futures.
Cara Teppan – House Coordinator
Cara started her career providing residential services in the Disability sector before moving to the Youth sector for the last 3 years.
With her Masters of Applied Behaviour Analysis from NUIG, and a Bachelor of Psychology from WIT, she has incorporated her knowledge of therapeutic care into the design and provision of residential services that deliver outcomes that are higher than sector standard for vulnerable and at-risk young people.
Michael Scott – Head of Growth and Marketing
An experienced senior manager in the commercial world, Michael started his long association with children and youth charities back in 2002 when he established a corporate partnership with the Starlight Foundation. Since then he has developed a deep passion for fundraising for charities that are addressing some of the most difficult needs in Australia including Westmead Children’s Hospital, RUOK, Bear Cottage and The Cancer Council .
Michael is single-mindedly focused on helping Stepping Stone House increase its impact by building programmes that will attract long term support that enables this growth in impact.
